Human Rights Reporting Wiki (americangulag.stanford.edu) Launched


The Stanford University Journalism Human Rights Reporting course has launched a wiki project to explore the role of journalists in exposing human rights abuses and to question the legal and moral obligations of journalists as witnesses to atrocities and genocide.

The first part of the class examines human rights cases in countries like El Salvador, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Bosnia, Sudan, Israel; and the second part focuses on the American Gulag including the modern history of torture, Bagram Air Base, Guantanamo, Abu Ghraib Prison, extraordinary rendition and more.
